The blue mussel is naturally found in the Belgian North Sea. That is also the species of mussel that Zeeboerderij Westdiep will cultivate. Our mussels are meatier, have a salty taste and require less cleaning than other mussels. Moreover, they contain little fat and a lot of protein. An excellent alternative to meat!
